Peeks

I’ve had hands full with various matters, including construction related and fun, meaningful teaching. Here are 3 peeks at the latest progress, until I can post a gallery (click on any image for full size slide show).

The guest cottage is awaiting back-fill, roofing, and siding outside. Once the back-fill is contoured, not much foundation will show and the burp of concrete will be covered. HVAC is being installed inside, with plumbing, electricity, insulation, and sheet rock to come in the weeks ahead.

Both the guest cottage and guest houseĀ  will get roof metal very soon. Tho siding will come later, they’ll be pretty well weather tight, snug, & dry.

Below you’ll see how the porch railing will look, at least till we stain it in the Spring, and the colors of siding and trim. HVAC is being installed inside and plumbing next week.

From the planning drawings we got used to a level front view. In ‘real life’ we never see it that way due to the slope of the land. Interesting play of perspectives.

Funding still looks pretty good for the guest house. More needed for the cottage.

On everything on schedule.

I am astounded by how much progress has been made. Both the house and cottage look spectacular. I love the wrap around porch. I can’t wait to see them when I visit in June next year.
