Once the foundations were in and the drilling completed, Bill filled the insides with sand and topped it all off with gravel. This allowed for backfilling the outsides of the foundations and below grade walls. As some of the piles of earth where ‘put back,’ the shape of the landscape began to re-emerge. And the insides were ready for the next stage: laying the under-floor plumbing and drainage pipes.
